AecNxt provides free Revit add-ins and BIM productivity tools. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use this website (aecnxt.com) and our Revit add-ins, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

By using aecnxt.com or the AecNxt add-ins, you agree to this policy. If you have any question, email us at aecnxtadmin@gmail.com — a human reads every message.

Information you give us

• License requests & activation: your name (optional), email address, country, and company name (optional). This is used to issue your license key and link it to your email.
• Feedback form: an optional name, an optional email, an optional star rating, and the message you send us.
• Contact form: your name, email, country, company, and the reason you contacted us.

Information the add-in sends automatically

• When the AecNxt add-in is installed, it contacts our server to activate: your email, license key, Revit version, and a machine identifier.
• Usage events: the add-in may report which AecNxt tool ran (for example, a sheet export) so we can see which tools are used most. Each report includes the same license details. Revit document names, model contents, and your files are never sent to us.
• When the add-in checks for updates, it downloads update information only — no personal data beyond the license check.

Automatic website data

• Anonymous page views: we count blog article views using a one-way hash of your IP address. We cannot reverse it back to your real IP or identity.
• Standard server logs (for security and error diagnosis only).

We use the information above only to:

• Issue, activate, and manage your free license key.
• Detect and prevent license misuse (for example, one key used on too many machines).
• Deliver in-app notifications and update checks to the add-in.
• Understand which tools and articles are most useful, so we know what to build and write next.
• Reply when you contact us or send feedback.
• Occasionally contact you directly about new tools, improvements, or our service offerings — from our team only, never automated bulk marketing.

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not build marketing profiles about you.

• We never sell your data. Not to anyone, ever.
• We never spam. Our team may occasionally reach out to you directly about our tools or service offerings, but you will never receive automated bulk marketing or advertising campaigns.
• We never read your Revit models. The add-in sends license and usage statistics only — never your drawings, families, schedules, or project files.
• We never require a payment or card. AecNxt is 100% free — there is nothing to charge.

The add-in reports two kinds of events: that Revit started (at most once per machine per 12 hours) and which AecNxt tool ran when you actually use it. These records are tied to your license email and machine identifier — nothing else. They exist to keep licenses fair and to tell us which tools deserve improvement.

If you would rather your usage not be recorded, email us at aecnxtadmin@gmail.com and we can remove or disable usage logging for your license.

This website and its database run on managed cloud hosting. Like most professional services, they process data on our behalf under their own security and compliance programs. We also load the DM Sans typeface from Google Fonts when you browse the site.

We do not embed advertising trackers or social-media pixels on this site.

We keep your information only as long as needed: license records stay while your license is active so the add-in keeps working; contact and feedback messages stay until we have answered them and are then removed. Usage logs may be kept in aggregated, de-identified form for statistics. Ask us anytime at aecnxtadmin@gmail.com and we will delete your personal data.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or comparable laws), you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Request a copy of it, correct it, or delete it.
• Withdraw consent or object to processing.

Just email aecnxtadmin@gmail.com — we answer every request personally, usually within one business day.

AecNxt is a professional tool intended for working AEC and BIM professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires it).

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes (for example, a new kind of data collection) will also be announced through the add-in's notification feature.
